What’s Happening On Wednesday Nights 2009 – 2010 Term
Preschool Ages 2 – 3 with Alicia DeRoche and Karlee Collins Preschool Ages 4 – 5 with Amy Mascunana In our Preschool Classes we us DiscipleLand’s Preschool material. DiscipleLand Preschool consists of two series. The Old Testament sequence introduces preschool kids to God's greatness and plan. The New Testament sequence guides them to become Jesus' friends. Each sequence will give children building blocks to become lifelong disciples. This Year we are using DiscipleLand’s New Testament Sequence “Discover Jesus” Quarters E - H For a total of eight quarters, your children ages 2-5 will befriend Jesus—they'll experience His teachings, His love, and His forgiveness. Eight quarters will give your kids almost 100 Bible stories and an overview of the New Testament. Every quarter includes 12 Bible lessons (plus one review lesson). The New Testament Series uses sequential Bible stories to teach about Jesus' life, message, and purpose. This Quarter is: Quarter G – “God Uses Us” December 09 – February 2010 This Quarters Bible Text: 2 Kings - Esther Watch in amazement as prophets like Elisha demonstrate God's mighty power and plan. Your little ones will rejoice as God returns His people from exile and rebuilds His holy city.
Kindergarten and First Graders Class with Kendra Collins and Elizabeth DeRoche This year they are using DiscipleLand’s (discipleland.com) Kindergarten Material – “Amazing Heroes”. In DiscipleLand Kindergarten, your children will explore the wonder-filled dramas of fascinating Old and New Testament personalities-- embracing 48 godly heroes and heroines they can respect and emulate. Along the way, they will discover that Jesus is the special Hero who fulfilled God's plan to rescue people and save the world. This Quarter is: Quarter C – “Amazing New Testament Heroes” December 2009 – February 2010 The Bible Text: Matthew - John Kids will welcome Jesus, the Hero and King! Your children will discover the faith of 19 New Testament personalities who responded to the presence of Jesus in their lives. They will see the living Christ through the eyes of the people in the Gospels. They will understand why Jesus is the Hero who God sent to save us all.
Second and Third Graders with Cindy Harrison Level 2 (ages 7-9), Treasuring The Bible Using topical Bible stories to teach about the Bible's origin and power, this year our children ages 7-9 will embrace the Bible—as God's inspired and authoritative message for everyone. Children will cultivate a deep appreciation for the richness and power of Scripture; and the Bible will become their lifelong companion. We pray that they will depend on the rock-solid Bible for God's guidance! Anchor your children to the authority and power of God's Word. Bring them to Sunday school so they can receive some skills that will help them handle their Bibles comfortably, be prepared for a lifetime of studying Scripture. This Quarter is: Quarter C – “Mighty Miracles” December – March 2010 This Quarters Bible Text: Topical Old Testament Passages Children will learn to depend on the rock-solid truth of the Bible for answers to life's important questions. They will trust what God's Word says about God, Jesus Christ, creation, sin, heaven and hell, angels, the future, and more!

This year, your children ages 9-11 will encounter the Church—as God's instrument to influence the future. Kids will experience the Book of Acts and relive episodes of Christians who revolutionized the first century. Prepare to transform the twenty-first century with the Good News about Jesus!
Help us lead your children to a new level of appreciation for His Church. Help them walk through the birth and growth of first century Christianity, so your kids will embrace their local church and take action to expand the global Church.

This Quarter is: Quarter C – Valiant Voyagers December – March 2010 This Quarters Bible Text: Acts 18-28 Children will accompany the Apostle Paul as he boldly ventured to distant regions with the Gospel. Kids will love how God used Paul's adventures and trials to reach many people. They'll pray for present-day missionary efforts and learn to share the Good News of Christ with others.
. Sixth Graders Sunday with Erik and Brenda Nelson This sixth grade group uses Group Publishing’s, “Grapple Preteen” materials. Grapple is a new curriculum designed especially for 4th – 6th graders. Grapple is the ONLY preteen Sunday school curriculum offering an online community during the week.
Each Quarter the students get lessons where preteens dig into the bible to grapple with faith and life issues. Each topic is approved by a Group Publishing Preteen Panel, so they will stay relevant, week after week. In class they will experience discussion-sparking segments, bible studies that get kids digging into the Bible to relate faith to real life and find answ3rs to questions they grapple with the most and weekly challenges that dare preteens to apply what they’ve learned in simple effective ways. Best of all Grapple gives them exclusive access to their own online community for their “BAC2GOD” class. Each quarter, kids get password-protected web access to support and enhance the Wednesday Night experience. This website is safe and secure strictly monitored by Brenda Nelson.
This Quarter they will experience such topics as: Why Do Some People Have More Friends? Am I Only Supposed To Be Friends with Christians? Did God Really Write The Bible? How Is The Bible Different From Other Books? Why Should The Bible Matter To Me?

This group digs in to topical studies that surround the lives of women and the world in which they live.
