Christian Education is a vital part of Bloomingdale Alliance Church. A healthy growing process with well equipped teachers in the field of Christian Education is a needed step for the new or maturing Christian. How well the Christian Teacher is equipped, whether they are a Sunday School teacher or a Bible Study teacher, will determine how healthy and strong the bible student will strive to become. Our goal is to see people of all ages become healthy disciples of Christ. As Christian Teachers, we are called to make healthy disciples and how well we do this will influence the growing Bible student. Will they become healthy and mature in their faith or will they remain mere infants and unhealthy? We all want to see our part in Christian education influence the Bible student for the better. So it behooves us to never become stagnant in our skills as a Christian Teacher. We need to be all that we, in God’s grace and mercy, can be. Here you will find resources for you from various authors and publishers. If there is anything that you need and cannot find here, please contact Sharon Govero at stgovero@bellsouth.net. Helping you to become a strong and mature teacher is our goal here in the Disciplemaking Ministries Department of Bloomingdale Alliance Church.

“Teachers of Life" -by Carolyn Collins Standing up for beliefs is seldom easy. But circumstances sometimes press us to do what we fear, to stand out when we prefer to simply blend with the crowd. The college history professor mockingly asked my class if any of us believed man was created from dust. My younger classmates, eyes averted, ignored the question. I raised my hand. He said, “you're much too educated to believe that”.Our beliefs and the beliefs of our children are being challenged >>

Who is Teaching? Victory In The Classroom - by Carolyn Collins The car next to mine carried the bumper sticker, “Be an army of one!”, “M-m-m,” I thought, “How is that possible?” While not knowing the meaning of the sticker, I thought of the teacher who handles many tasks in the battle for victory in the classroom. Let’s check the comparison.First, teachers enlist and train. A teacher has to have or acquire; a.) knowledge of subject matter; b.) skills necessary to impart knowledge/skills to others.Teachers become strategic planners. >>
